(The locket is a Horcrux and it needs to be destroyed! But not because I like Muggles, who are still gross.)

Regulus does some thinking about the Bones murders and gets a little closer to the Horcruxes -- once I fill in his other entries so that there's a logical build up.

PLACHELD because I'm late for work now, but private research about Slytherin's locket here.

[ WARDED TO AUGUSTUS ROOKWOOD. ]
[ The original ward is removed after second thoughts. ]

I suppose the Dark Lord isn't going to do anything to free Healer Travers, is he? Just as He did with the others who are still waiting for Him to release them and reward them for their loyalty. And yet, how is it that He has time to enchant a cave full of Inferi to hide a locket he cares about more than Pure-blood men who --

[ WARDED TO AUGUSTUS ROOKWOOD. ]
What is going to happen to Elliot, Mr Rookwood, sir? I know that for Xander, Healer Travers, and the others, we must trust in the Dark Lord and have faith in Him to act when the time is right, but Elliot's situation is rather unique. He wouldn't have him killed for his failure to continue on as our spy among the Aurors, would He? Though of course I would not question His wisdom if that was what He chose to do.

[ WARDED TO SELF. ]
I know we are supposed to trust in the Dark Lord and how He will free the others when it is time for Him to make his move -- but after what Kreacher told me, I cannot help but question how it is that He seems to care so little about the lives, blood lines, and well-being of His devoted servants that He has and continues to do nothing for those who are so loyal and dutiful to Him. Dare I say it even though I am terribly fond of Kreacher, it almost seems as if Pure-bloods, including the heirs to the great families whose survival He is supposed to be fighting for in a world threatened by Muggle and Mud-bloods over-running it as our numbers dwindle and the Ministry persecutes us, are no better than house elves to Him, to be used and disposed of on a whim. I cannot believe that such a man can be a true Pure-blood devoted to the supremacy of pure blood unless He is truly a blood-traitor, and if He is, in fact, a Half-blood -- no Mud-blood could be as skilled and powerful as He has shown Himself to be -- then he has no right to treat and use his betters like that.

Perhaps it is true that now is simply not the right time to act, but it bothers me to know that while He has done nothing all this time, He has had resources and time to devote towards hiding a locket with such formidable security measures. It may be Salazar Slytherin's locket, or at least a replica of it, and therefore of great historical worth -- but what is it next to blood lines that may cease to exist as shortly as within my lifetime after centuries of existence, history, tradition, and purity of blood?

The more I think about this matter, the more infuriating, confusing, and strange it is -- there must be something particular about the locket that is still a mystery to me, if He values it so greatly as to ignore the plights of his Death Eaters and use the Black family as he did. Perhaps it is not my place to know, but I can't rest until I know what it is He intends to do.
